CostPerform moderating roundtable on TBM at CESG 2020
January 9th through January 12th showcased the 15th edition of the CES for Government in Las Vegas. With a record-setting participation of over 400 government officials and a stellar list of speakers, this was the government IT event of the year. As part of the official program, the CES for Government organized a special TBM focused roundtable. The co-host for this event was Lim Vermeer, one of the owners of CostPerform.
The Office of Management and Budget (OMB) is encouraging agencies to adopt Technology Business Management (TBM) strategies by 2022. TBM is focused around transparency and control over IT spending, both by the business as well as IT. CostPerform has been at the forefront of cost transparency for the last 25 years and is therefore very well-positioned to support agencies in adopting their TBM strategy. With, among others, running cases at the Small Business Administration (SBA) and the Patent and Trademark Office (PTO), CostPerform has proven itself to be a more complete and affordable option in comparison to other TBM systems in the marketplace.
Cost transparency and control doesn’t stop at IT spend, nor does it stop at government agencies. Modeling the whole cost cycle of your organization is where we are aiming at. Budgets are granted to support your organization’s mission. By being able to link your spending with budget and mission outcomes, you and your stakeholders will be in total control.
